A couple of days ago, along with many of you, we were hit by the large-scale AWS outage. This meant you were unable to update your status pages at a time when you needed to most.
I’d like to say sorry for letting you down, I’m embarrassed, and it’s not something we want to do again. So yesterday we spent the day reviewing the situation and putting together a plan to help us do better.
Firstly, we’ve added a second monitoring service, as our first one was also affected by the AWS outage. This means that we can be sure of a faster response next time something happens.
Secondly, we’ve mapped out the first changes to our infrastructure which will help reduce the risk of downtime in the future. We’ve already started to put these in place.
If anyone has any particular questions, please do get in touch and I’ll be happy to talk them through with you.

Happy to say that all systems have been running smoothly for some time now. Thank you for sticking with us tonight.
All services have been online for over an hour now but we may not be out of the woods just yet. We shall continue to keep an eye on things and keep you posted.
We have been experiencing issues for the last few hours which have prevented customers (and us) from logging in and updating their status page.
Whilst currently everything looks ok we are still monitoring everything, and are on standby to keep you updated on our progress.
