Ruby version upgrade

This maintenance is now complete.

The team have been checking the metrics and performing manual testing and everything appears to be working as expected.

We've finished the initial upgrades, and we're now assessing the metrics to ensure that everything is continuing to behave as expected. Initial signs are all positive, more information to follow.

The scheduled maintenance is now underway!. We'll keep you updated on our progress.

As part of our continual work to keep the product secure, reliable, and performant, we will upgrade the version of Ruby, the underlying language of our application, on Wednesday, April 9th, at 09:00 UTC.

We don't anticipate this resulting in any downtime.

As with all our releases, we have conducted extensive testing using our automated test suite and manual verification in our staging environment. We are confident that the update poses minimal risk.

We also plan to roll back the changes should anything go sideways.
