Yesterday, we had a short outage on the application due to an unexpected surge in unusual traffic, which overloaded our servers and prevented customers from logging in.
As a part of our post-incident review, which will be published shortly, we have made various configuration changes to our application firewall to better identify and block that kind of traffic in the future.
An initial version of these changes was implemented yesterday during the incident, proving its effectiveness, and today we have further improved and refined those changes.
