Database maintenance and upgrades

We've now finished our post-upgrade checks, and everything looks to be working nicely.

This moves us an excellent step forward in our continued plans to ensure our service is as reliable and secure as possible.

Our database upgrades are now complete; we are now performing some checks to ensure everything went to plan, first signs are all good.

We are now making our final preparations for our database maintenance; you may see a minute or so of downtime while we perform the upgrades, but we hope the impact will be minimal.

Updates to follow once the upgrades are complete.

We have some planned database upgrades this coming Wednesday; fortunately, we expect less than 1 minute of downtime while we make these changes.

In our continued efforts to improve our reliability and resilience, we are moving to split our database across multiple geographic locations and add an intelligent fail-over if one location should start experiencing issues.
